Simple Steps of Cleaning a Leather Horse Bridle

The bridle of your house needs to be cleaned once per week. If you use the bridle regularly you should clean it more often than just once per week. Clean immediately if you have been using it in the rain. A soiled bridle is difficult to clean when it dries up with the dirt. Ensure that the bridle is dry before you use it again. Your leather bridle is preserved when you clean and repair it regularly.
Water and glycerin soap is required when you need to clean the bridle. Using cold water will damage your bridle and also make it slower for dirt to get out of it. Other soaps may not have glycerin, therefore insist on buying glycerin soap at any store. There are many brands of glycerin soaps for you to choose, at saddlery store online or department store. Dampen a piece of cloth that has glycerin soap by immersing it in the water. Use a sponge if you cannot find a piece of cloth. Carefully rub every part of the bridle with more concentration on places that have stains, oil and soil to remove every dirt that is on it.
Washing soda is suitable for removing dirt from a bridle that is heavily soiled. Tough oil and grease that cannot be removed by water and glycerin soap should be removed by washing soda because it is good at dissolving grease and oil. You can also buy washing soda from department stores, online or saddlery stores. Find a small bucket that you can feel warm water and makes the water with a handful of washing soda. Use a sponge instead of a piece of cloth by immersing it in water that has washing soda and rubbing the bridle until it is clean.
The bridle needs to dry within a few days, therefore, do not put it inside the water or use a piece of cloth that is to wet. Wipe away all the washing soda or glycerin soap from the bridle. The bridle will last longer if it is not made too wet and glycerin soap or washing soda is also not left to accumulate on it.
Hang the bridle somewhere that is cool and dark for it to dry. The bridle cracks when it is exposed to fluctuating temperatures they have ensured that the place you choose has consistent temperature levels. If the place is dusty, you should cover the bridle with a soft piece of cloth.
You do not have to apply oil on the bridle frequently but ensure that you do so at least once every month. If you notice that you are bridle is very dry, or it is new, oil it irregularly. If you do not own a dry or new bridle regularly it will crack, become rough on getting rough on the skin of your horse thus causing discomfort to the horse when you’re using it.
